Changing Lives through Baseball

Dominicana Baseball Foundation was founded to provide charitable support to the State of Utah and communities in Northern Utah. Baseball is the means to provide youth and families a positive, organized environment to interact with others in a meaningful way and to provide structure in the lives of those who participate. The Dominicana Foundation organizes and supports numerous service and humanitarian projects in Utah as well as the Dominican Republic and surrounding Caribbean countries.

As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Dominicana Foundation relies on donations to succeed in improving the lives of participants through the organization’s mission and projects. Participate today in making local Utah youth and families lives better as well as in the Caribbean.

Project 2022

Dominican Republic to Utah

Dates: March to July 2022

This project is focused on providing funding for several Dominican youngsters (read about them and their families below) between ages 12 to 14 to come from the Dominican Republic to Utah. Participants will be housed through the foundation to learn about American culture, food, and family life in the United States. English language training and baseball skills training provided by Dominicana Baseball Foundation coaches will also be part of the project curriculum. This once in a lifetime opportunity for these young men has the potential to change the course of their lives. Participants will interact with team members of the Dominicana Baseball Training program and develop friendships that will last forever.

Project 2022

Dominican Republic Humanitarian Trip

Dates: Summer 2022

The Annual Dominicana Baseball Foundation Humanitarian Trip is one of the true highlights of the Dominicana Foundation. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 and 2021 trips were not possible. Many children and communities in the Dominican Republic benefit from the donations delivered during these annual trips. Thousands of dollars of clothing, toiletries, baseball equipment, and other essential items are donated to many of the poorest communities on the island. Youth participants in this trip lead the service projects in these communities while also having the opportunity to visit and train at numerous MLB facilities. Participants train and interact with local youth on the baseball field and get to see firsthand what Caribbean life is all about.

Charitable donations to Dominicana Baseball Foundation are vital to the success of this project. This trip provides excellent perspective to the youth participants who travel to the D.R., but also helps so many people in need.
